Men have no bodies

I photograph male bodies as a form of introspection: an attempt to momentarily escape the constraints imposed on my own female body, while learning to observe those whose bodies are often ignored. By creating a profile on a dating app, positioning myself as a photographer seeking men to photograph naked, I subvert traditional power dynamics between the artist and her muse. This act of emancipation allows me to reclaim space in our visual culture, filling a void in our visual representations: the male nude as seen through a woman’s gaze.
